Utility and telecom MOT plans
Traffic control plans for utility crews working along Florida roads, whether the job is one pole or a fiber route across a county.
Work we plan for
- Fiber and telecom installation, including directional boring and aerial work
- Power, gas, water and sewer construction and repair
- Handholes, vaults, pedestals and service drops
- Mid-block, intersection and driveway crossings
- Mobile and short-duration operations
- Long routes with work at many locations
Plans for a whole route
Utility permits often cover many locations along a corridor. We can prepare a plan set that covers the typical conditions along the route and calls out the locations that need their own layout, such as intersections, narrow sections and high-speed segments.
That gives the permit reviewer what they need, and gives your crews one plan set to work from as they move down the road.
Permitting agencies
We prepare plans for utility permits in FDOT right of way and for Florida counties and cities. Each agency has its own requirements, and we lay the plan out to match them.
Common questions
Can one plan cover multiple work locations?
Often, yes. A route plan set can cover the typical conditions along a corridor, with separate layouts for locations that need them. The permitting agency makes the final call.
Do you prepare plans for directional boring?
Yes. Boring operations often need lane or shoulder closures at the entry and exit pits, and sometimes along the bore path. We plan for each of those.
Do you work outside Northeast Florida?
Yes. We prepare plans for projects anywhere in Florida.
